To help students:

  • Identifying and establishing goals attainable through education.
  • Involving adult volunteers, mentors, teachers, professors from leading colleges and universities, military academies, and federal facilities.
  • Sending groups of students to travel out of town for one week during the summer.
  • Administering and scoring pre/post trip and mid-year surveys to ensure students are reaching their goals.
  • Tracking students’ performance for up to three years, providing guidance and support throughout their high school careers, including encouraging and guiding students through the SAT preparation and test taking process.
  • Working with students to develop a resume that will make them a competitive prospect as they apply to Universities and Military Academies.
  • Working with students to pursue after school jobs or summer internships that complement potential career goals.
  • Conducting follow-up and impact analysis activities with participating students, including encouraging and preparing them to participate in a second Reach For Tomorrow summer program between 9th and 10th grade.
